 Hi all

Since rpcbind usage seems to be favored above portmap a tried to use it:

Here is a bootlog(booting rootfs over nfs) :

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception

=============================================================================================
So I created a script in /etc/init.d that starts rpcbind.
The system boots properly (over nfs) when I started rpcbind.
So I guess rpcbind will need some post-hook install that creates this startup script in /etc/init.d.

PS :
When using portmap instead of the rpcbind package :

# mount -t nfs 192.168.1.110:/home/johan/srcmain /mnt/nfs
svc: failed to register lockdv1 RPC service (errno 97).

Strange,since the mount actually worked (I can access the files)

When using rpcbind instead of portmap there is no failed message.
