Maybe the upstream repository is still named just 'platform' (and not
'libplatform', btw), but upstream renamed the project:

The commit log is very terse:  rename to p8-platform

But the very first hunk is explicit:

    CMakeLists.txt:
    -project(platform)
    +project(p8-platform)

Also, the whole /namespace/ has changed to p8: the .pc file, the cmake
config file, the library name...

So, OK, I missed the dash in the rename...

p8 stands for Pulse-Eight, the company behind libcec and libp8platform.

Oh, such an effort to rename a few files and fix a few dependencies,
and add a legacy entry, indeed... ;-)
